Norman Vincent Peale was an American minister and author known for his work in popularizing the concept of positive thinking. First published in 1952, The Power of Positive Thinking, was by far his most read work. The book stayed on the New York Times bestseller list for 186 consecutive weeks. Norman Vincent Peale served as a Reformed Church in America pastor at Marble Collegiate Church in New York, from 1932 until his death.
