Walk on The Wild Side Amazing Race Team Building Activities and Exercises
The Amazing Race on foot team building exercise is one of the team building activities coordinated and facilitated by TBAE.
The Amazing Race on foot is a venue specific activity and varies from venue to venue. Although each venue is different the blueprint of the event remains similar and is as follows:
Each team is provided with various clues relating to finding each “check-in” point. Some of the “check-in” points have activities and others the team need to “prove” that they located that specific point. The teams need to find the “check-in” points in the correct sequence which are hidden in different locations throughout the venue. Once a “check-in” point is located, the team either needs to “prove” that the whole team was there, or each member of the team must complete the activity (team work here guys!) before moving onto the next activity. The first team to successfully complete all the activities and tasks is the winning team.
Below are some of the activities that we offer as part of this event (number of activities done dependant on the time allocated for the event). Please note that due to many variables and ongoing product development we have not listed all the different possible activities.
Cubes Challenge - Each team member will be given a colour cube. A colour will be given to the team. By manoeuvring the cube components with your hands try and get your colour on one side of the cube. Hand, eye coordination is important here.
Hula Hoop Down - This activity is definitely much harder than it looks. The team stands in a circle, and the objective is to move the Hula Hoop down from above waste height to the ground. There are certain restrictions in terms of how the Hula Hoop is allowed to be held.
Magic Carpet - Each team member needs to stand on the small carpet. The carpet then needs to be turned over without any body part of each team member touching the floor. Some interesting body positions!
Blindfold collection – Two team members at a time are blindfolded, and the rest of the team need to communicate to them which objects to pick-up. Each team member needs to have a turn to be blindfolded before the team can move onto the next activity.
