Box Cart Building & Racing Team Building Activity

The Box Cart Building and Racing activity combines creativity, technical precision, leadership, communication and a dose of bravery and fitness for a few. 

The activity begins with an ice breaker styled activity that is designed to divide the group into smaller teams in a way that ‘cliques’ are separated and new relationships formed.

The teams are then provided with all the necessary components to create and complete the Box Cart.  The team then get to work deciding who will design and apply the finishing touches to the  'bodywork', design and paint the drivers racing top as well as script a team song. 

Other team members get stuck in with assembling the box go-kart while carefully keeping an eye on the time limit, in order to prepare the box cart before the designated starting time of the race.  

The final leg of the activity is the teams racing against each other in relay format, with multiple team members having the opportunity to drive and push the kart towards the finish line.

The Box Cart building and racing event is a wonderful team building event that stimulates teamwork and relationship building.
