Team Building Events facilitated for Disabled People South Africa by TBAE

Disabled People South Africa (DPSA) approached TBAE to coordinate and facilitate a team building event for them. DPSA is a democratic cross-disability body made up of member organizations of disabled people in South Africa.  Their mandate is to “ensure the development and integration of disabled people into all spheres of life in South Africa”. The corporate mission of the organization is to be an effective and efficient democratic national assembly of all disabled persons, advocating for the rights and equal opportunity for disabled people in South Africa.

Disabled People South Africa team building event at The Lakes Hotel in Benoni Johannesburg
The team building event took place at The Lakes Hotel in Benoni. Our facilitator worked out a schedule of exercises that was suitable for both able and disabled persons. The participants enjoyed a session of drumming and then did some Minute to Win It games. In the Minute to Win It games participants got one minute to complete various activities involving everyday objects such as plastic cups and straws. This is a fun event causing a lot of laughter and excitement with participants and spectators alike. The members of DPSA also learned more about working as a team through team building exercises such as the Blindfolded Minefield.
