Simba’s seen some radical changes in South Africa since they first launched Simba chips in 1957! As amazing as it may sound, this billion Rand company was born out of the vision of an old lady from the eastern Cape, Mrs Greyvenstein. Affectionately known as OumaGreyvenstein, this loveable and caring grandma planted a seed that would one day germinate into a snack empire that spanned all across Africa and became an important part in the world’s biggest snack and beverage company.

Hidden amongst the green rolling hills and savannah-like grasslands of the 275-hectare Modderfontein Reserve, lies Val Bonne Country estate — a captivating event venue that offers unbelievable views, superior food options and efficient event management — and just a short drive from Sandton too! This was the venue for Simba's Potjiekos Cooking and Drumming Team Building event. The group from Simba was divided into teams and competed against each other to produce the best potjie.
