Amazing Race Team Building Event

TBAE’s Walk on The Wild Side Amazing Race team building activity is inspired by The Amazing Race reality competition show. The race takes place on foot and is a venue specific event.

The Walk on The Wild Side Amazing Race starts with the group being divided into different teams using TBAE’s ice breakers. These ice breakers are designed to divide the group up in a way that ‘cliques’ are separated and new relationships formed.

Each team is provided with various clues relating to finding each “check-in” point. Some of the “check-in” points have activities and at others the team need to “prove” that they located that specific point. The teams need to find the “check-in” points in the correct sequence which are hidden in different locations throughout the venue. Once a “check-in” point is located, the team either needs to “prove” that the whole team was there, or each member of the team must complete the activity (team work here guys!) before moving onto the next activity. The first team to successfully complete all the activities and tasks is declared the winning team of The Walk on The Wild Side Amazing Race.

Walk on The Wild Side Amazing Race

These are some of the team building exercises that may be included in The Walk on The Walk on The Wild Side Amazing Race team building activity. Your facilitator will select the appropriate exercises to match the venue and team on the day.

Blindfold Collection – Two team members at a time are blindfolded, and the rest of the team need to communicate to them which objects to pick-up. Each team member needs to have a turn to be blindfolded before the team can move onto the next activity...

Hula Hoop Down - This activity is definitely much harder than it looks. The team stands in a circle, and the objective is to move the Hula Hoop down from above waste height to the ground. There are certain restrictions in terms of how the Hula Hoop is allowed to be held...

Magic Carpet - Each team member needs to stand on the small carpet. The carpet then needs to be turned over without any body part of each team member touching the floor. Some interesting body positions!

Cubes Challenge - Each team member will be given a colour cube. A colour will be given to the team. By manoeuvring the cube components with your hands try and get your colour on one side of the cube. Hand, eye coordination is important here.

Marble Run - A marble needs to be rolled from point A to point B using 4 short sticks....

The Unknown Route - Team members must find the route through the grid. Only one team member at a time. Memory plays a key role.

Bucket Challenge - Teams race against each other trying to transport as much water as possible in the least amount of time...

Pendulum Walk - In this hilarious activity the participants need to use thrusting movements to to maneuver a plastic ball from point A to point B...

Incubator - Transport the unhatched, deadly black mamba eggs safely to the incubator using the equipment provided.

Model Replication - The participants are given the exact number of pieces of different colours components that make up a model that is pre-made and hidden from the view of the participants...
