Safety in the Workplace Course

Workplace safety is about preventing injury and illness to employees and volunteers in the workplace. Whether you work at a business, manage it, or own it, you all have the same goal--- you don't want anyone to get hurt on the job. As an employee, you have a key role to play in preventing work-related injuries and diseases. They must follow any precautions and rules about safety and health. They must report any unsafe circumstances or accidents as soon as possible. Employers and employees need to set goals around health and safety and then work together as a team to achieve them. Companies have legal obligations to meet certain safety requirements, but many go further than the minimum obligations. As an employer, you play an important role in preventing workplace accidents and injuries, and promoting safe and healthy workplaces. The aim is to do things better in order to achieve a safe and healthy workplace – not just because that’s what the law says, but because it’s better for everyone. Safety standards and procedures must be put in place, and everyone needs to follow the standards in order for them to be effective.

TBAE's Safety in the Workplace course will be vital in reviewing safety techniques and common hazards. Participants will have the tools to help them create a Safety policy for the work place. By identifying and anticipating hazards, employers can keep employees safe. The course will define workplace safety and review legal responsibilities. Identify hazards and create a safety plan. It is important to recognise the role of management to develop training procedures. Attending TBAE's Safety in the Workplace, you will be able to implement a safety plan for your workplace.
